Welcome

Work-based learning that changes AI habits, protects ROI, and upskills your workforce alongside the AI systems you already operate.

TokenCosts.ai is home for the three programs of 2 Degree Shift, a California C Corporation. We partner with companies and organizations to build daily habits that address ROI concerns, and we upskill the workforce in parallel with the AI, procedures, policies, and models your organization is implementing.

We are additive. We do not enter your systems. We do not touch your finance data. We are a value-add layer that runs alongside your existing operations.

What we do

We build daily SMS, WhatsApp, and email habit-change programs for people who use AI and for the leaders who pay the AI invoice. The programs support teams as they shift the daily prompting habits that shape AI cost, output quality, and workforce confidence.

Every program uses the same work-based learning methodology, adapted to the buyer and the workforce. Three programs, three doors into the same underlying approach ·

  • CutTokenCosts.com. For individuals, entrepreneurs, team leads, department heads, and managers in small and mid-sized companies who want to upskill AI productivity and cut token costs. Includes base coaching, SMS, and WhatsApp, email in two minutes a day
  • ReduceTokenCosts.com. For CFOs, CAOs, Controllers, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and HR organizations who own strategy and/or budgets. Optional Executive Priority Track, monthly priorities intake, shapes what the team receives , company or organization priorities, sector preferences. Monthly Manager priorities updates, personas, personalization. Quarterly Executive Brief. Optional additional workplace channels like Teams or Slack, language translation, Helpdesk Tickets, and branded strategy: our product with your logo, color palette, and personas siloed in your own database.
  • TokensHelpdesk.com For Circles of 2 to 5 people who want to collaborate to upskill and work on hands-on projects or products. Circles include: Daily Coaching messages; a monthly IRL or virtual meeting monthly Circle Challenge (for example, a dashboard, workflow,  customer-facing tool, or internal automation) supported with Tuesday Thursday Challenge messages; 2 per Circle Helpdesk tickets per month.

Our approach · work-based learning

We build programs the way an operating organization builds capability · in the flow of daily work, using habits people repeat, measured against outcomes that matter to the business.

Explore, Practice, Apply. Our approach is a partnership with People, AI, and Data, in that order.

  • Explore. A habit is introduced. Team members interpret and understand the concept.
  • Practice. They use it in familiar contexts to build fluency.
  • Apply. They implement it across different types of work.

A habit can be Apply-level in one context and Explore-level in another. Someone who loads their brief when writing campaign copy might forget to load it when writing an internal HR memo. That is normal. The daily coaching keeps team members moving through the three stages, and the monthly and quarterly reporting shows leadership where the workforce is on each habit.

What we mean by ROI

Return on AI investment is not one number. It is a set of measurable habits that either compound in your favor or against it. Our programs address the compounding side ·

  • Cost per finished output · not cost per token, cost per completed piece of work
  • Time reclaimed per team member per week · measured as the 90 minutes back on a repeated workflow, not as aspirational productivity gains
  • Model routing discipline · what portion of prompts run on the appropriate tier of model, and what portion default to the most expensive option
  • Prompt reuse · what portion of team members reuse a working template instead of re-typing context
  • Question channel volume and shape · what your team is asking, which shifts month over month, and where the training curriculum needs adjustment

The programs produce a monthly manager update and (for ReduceTokenCosts.com) a quarterly Executive Brief that reports each of these to the leader who owns the AI invoice.

Upskilling in partnership with your organization

We recognize that companies and organizations are implementing procedures, policies, and models for AI use that are specific to their operations, their regulatory environment, and their workforce.

Our programs run in parallel with that internal work. We do not replace your AI policies. We do not compete with your internal training. We upskill the individual team members who are living inside those policies every day, so the policies and the people move together.

How the partnership works ·

  • You choose the program that fits your organization · CTC for team-level habit change, RTC for finance-leader visibility and executive briefing, TokensHelpdesk for small collaborative Circles
  • You choose the delivery channels · SMS, WhatsApp, email, and optionally Slack, Microsoft Teams, or a branded workplace channel
  • You choose whether the coaching is tuned to your organization’s priorities (the Executive Priority Track add-on for RTC), or delivered as our standard content library
  • You choose whether the program runs under our brand or under yours (Branded Strategy add-on) with your logo, colors, and personas held in a separate database
  • You choose whether the content is delivered in one language or two (Translation Add-on) for teams serving multilingual workforces

At every step, you keep control. We provide the infrastructure and the operating team. Your organization keeps its policies, its data, and its systems.

Compliance, regulations, and accessibility

Trust in AI programs is built on operational discipline. We hold ourselves to standards that match the regulated industries our buyers work in.

Accessibility · WCAG 2.2 AA verified on every website, on every SMS content pattern, and on every monthly document each program produces. We test with real accessibility tools and real users, and we document every finding.

Data separation · Every buyer’s organizational priorities, personas, and industry vocabulary are held in a separated database per engagement. No other buyer sees your priorities. No other buyer’s data touches yours. We do not connect to your accounting, ERP, or HR systems.

Consent and privacy · Every SMS and WhatsApp program is submitted for Twilio and Meta approval before launch. Every subscriber consents explicitly before receiving messages. Every program preserves the subscriber’s cancellation option (reply STOP) and human-reviewed question channel (reply HELP for a 24-hour human review).

Regulatory alignment · For buyers in regulated sectors (healthcare compliance, financial services, higher education, cybersecurity, procurement, sustainable operations), our Board of Directors and Advisory Council include operators with direct expertise. Council members join the work when the situation calls for their review.

Documentation · Every claim we make about cost reduction, habit change, or workforce upskilling is documented in a way a buying team can review before purchase.

Why we build this way

The gap between organizations that can adopt AI effectively and those that cannot is growing. That gap is not primarily a technology gap · the tools are available and the pricing is trending down. It is a habits gap, a workforce-confidence gap, and a policy-alignment gap.

We build for the middle of that gap · the small and mid-market companies, the community organizations, the multi-location businesses, the family-owned operations, the fractional CFOs and their client bases, the departments inside larger organizations that are working out AI use on their own without a corporate AI transformation team behind them.

Our operating premise is that the workforce learns AI best in the flow of daily work, alongside colleagues they already trust, with human review on the tricky questions, and with reporting that gives leadership a clear read on where the workforce is on each habit.

That is what we build. Every program. Every add-on. Every documentation choice.

We are accountable, ethical, and easy to do business with. That is how we operate with our buyers, our subscribers, and our partners.

What is the same across all three programs

  • Daily messaging. SMS, WhatsApp, or email, 7 days a week (TokensHelpdesk adds Tuesday and Thursday Circle messages).
  • Human review. Every question a subscriber asks the Helpdesk is reviewed by a human within 24 hours. AI drafts the answer. A human confirms or corrects it. The human’s initials are on the reply.
  • The same work-based learning method. Explore, Practice, Apply. Adapted to the buyer and the workforce.
  • The same accessibility standards. WCAG 2.2 AA verified across every surface.
  • The same operator. All three programs are operated by 2 Degree Shift, a California C Corporation.
  • The same additive posture. We do not connect to your systems. We do not read your books. We do not access your AI usage data. We upskill the people who do.
