SMS Program Terms of Service

Effective date: July 24, 2026

Owner: 2 Degree Shift, a California C Corporation Sending identity: 2 Degree Shift (single toll-free number, single registered sender) Contact: Connect@TokenCosts.ai

By subscribing to any 2 Degree Shift SMS product (Cut Token Costs, Reduce Token Costs, or Tokens Helpdesk), you agree to these SMS Program Terms. You also agree to the product-specific commercial Terms of the product you subscribed through.

1. What this document covers

In scope: SMS message frequency, STOP and HELP behavior, delivery expectations, phone number authorization, acceptable use of the reply channel, and every rule the mobile carriers require us to publish.

Out of scope: Subscription pricing, cancellation, refund rules, product features, and product-specific commercial terms. Those live in the Terms of Service on each product site:

2. Eligibility

By subscribing, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are the owner or authorized user of the phone number provided
  • You are 18 years of age or older, or you have permission of a parent or legal guardian
  • You will not use the service to receive messages on behalf of another person without their consent
  • If subscribing on behalf of a company, you have authority to bind that company to these terms

3. Message frequency

Cut Token Costs subscribers: Up to 1 daily habit message per weekday.

Reduce Token Costs subscribers: Up to 1 daily habit message per weekday, plus up to 2 personalized coaching messages per week if subscribed to the Executive Priority Track add-on, plus reviewed replies to Helpdesk questions if subscribed to the Helpdesk add-on.

Tokens Helpdesk Circle members: Up to 1 daily habit message per weekday, plus 2 Circle messages per week (Tuesday and Thursday), plus reviewed replies to Circle questions.

Actual message volume may vary. Occasional service messages (billing notifications, HELP replies, service changes) may be sent in addition to the frequencies listed above.

4. Message and data rates

Message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply to messages you send and receive. 2 Degree Shift is not responsible for carrier fees.

5. STOP behavior

Texting STOP from your subscribed phone number cancels the SMS subscription for that phone number. You will receive a confirmation message. No further messages will be sent to that phone number unless you resubscribe.

For Tokens Helpdesk Circles specifically: If the Circle host texts STOP, the host role must be transferred to another Circle member before the Circle can continue receiving messages. Individual Circle members may text STOP without ending the Circle for the remaining members.

6. HELP behavior

Texting HELP from your subscribed phone number initiates a human-reviewed reply within 24 hours. Every reply includes the reviewer’s initials so you know the message was reviewed by a person, not sent by AI alone.

7. Delivery

2 Degree Shift is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages caused by your mobile carrier, your device, network conditions, or factors outside our control.

8. Acceptable use of the reply channel

You agree not to:

  • Use the reply channel to harass, threaten, or send abusive content to our reviewers
  • Use the service to receive messages on behalf of another person without their explicit consent
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute our SMS content
  • Attempt to defraud the payment process or misrepresent your identity
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable law
  • Send content that would trigger carrier review under the high-risk category list (loans, credit repair, crypto, cannabis, firearms, gambling, adult content)

We may terminate your subscription and refund any unused balance if we detect fraudulent activity, harassment, or misuse of the reply channel.

9. Content ownership

All SMS content sent under the 2 Degree Shift sending identity (daily habit texts, worked examples, Circle texts, Helpdesk responses, Executive Priority coaching messages) is owned by 2 Degree Shift. Subscribers receive a limited, non-transferable license to receive and use the content for internal purposes within their organization or their Circle. Redistribution outside the subscribing organization or Circle is not permitted.

Any replies you send to our SMS number may be used by us to improve the service. We do not publish reply content in a way that identifies individual subscribers.

10. Consent and record-keeping

At sign-up on any product site, we capture the following record for audit and carrier verification purposes:

  • Phone number, email, and first name (or Circle nickname on TokensHelpdesk)
  • Consent timestamp and IP address
  • The specific product site the sign-up came from
  • The exact consent block wording shown at the time of sign-up

We retain this record for the duration of your active subscription plus 3 years after cancellation, then delete it.

11. Privacy

Your use of the SMS Program is subject to the SMS Program Privacy Policy. Product-specific privacy language for each product’s non-SMS features (Executive Priority Brief data handling on Reduce Token Costs, Circle question retention on Tokens Helpdesk) lives inside each product’s own Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law and disputes

These SMS Program Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the SMS Program shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Stanislaus County, California, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these SMS Program Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by SMS to active subscribers and by email to the billing contact at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
